Late registration of live birth for the poorest of the poor to resume

Sunnexdesk

THE Abtanan sa Kaluoy (Oasis of Mercy) through the Dilaab Foundation, Inc, and the Ugnayan ng Barangay at mga Simbahan (UBAS), is resuming its program aimed at addressing the need for the late registration of live birth of the poorest of the poor at the Cebu Archdiocesan Shrine of San Roque in Barangay Mambaling on Saturday, November 6, 2021.

The program was first implemented in Barangay Subangdaku, Mandaue City in 2017. An estimated seven million Filipinos do not have birth certificates which has, to a great extent, prevented them from improving their lives and position in society.

Aside from the Dilaab Foundation Inc. and UBAS, the program has brought together in this concerted effort, the Cebu Archdiocesan Shrine of San Roque, Barangay Mambaling of Cebu City, the Office of the City Civil Registrar (OCCR) Cebu City, the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) Cebu Chapter, Legaspi Law Office, and the Department of Social Welfare and Services (DSWS) Cebu City.

Parishes and barangays wishing to undertake the late registration of live birth in their respective areas may coordinate with the Abtanan sa Kaluoy (ASK) or Dilaab Foundation Inc. (PR)
