LTFRB-Central Visayas extends validity of special permit

Sunnexdesk

TO AVOID face-to-face transactions, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB)-Central Visayas has extended the validity of special permits issued to public utility vehicles (PUVs) until September 15, 2020.

In a latest memorandum order posted on its official Facebook page on Friday, September 4, 2020, the LTFRB-Central Visayas, led by Director Eduardo Montealto Jr., said the new order modifies the memo issued last September 1, which only allows the extension of special permit's validity until September 6.

Montealto said after September 15, all special permits will be deemed cancelled unless another extension will be granted.

Operation of PUVs without special permit will be considered as colorum operations, he said.

Operators granted special permits are advised to visit the LTFRB-Central Visayas's official Facebook page for further updates and route modification.

All areas in Central Visayas are now under modified general community quarantine status until the end of September. (WBS)
