A LUMAD who came to Cebu to get her son confirmed the statement of a social worker from the municipality of Talaingod in Davao del Norte that her elder sister died from worrying over not seeing her son and daughter for a long time.

Inangom Mandacawan said that her sibling, Samana Mandacawan, died in 2019. Samana’s two children were brought to Cebu City to study, according to Save Our Schools Network Cebu, an organization composed of church-based groups, academic institutions, militant organizations, and members of civil society.
