A SEXOGENARIAN was crushed to death when a cement mixer truck fell on top of him in Purok 6, Barangay Totolan in Dauis town, Bohol Province Saturday morning, March 25, 2023.

Staff Sergeant Rene Neneria, investigator of the Dauis Police Station, identified the victim as 61-year-old Elpidio Lupar, a resident of the barangay.

He said the incident happened around 9 a.m.

According to initial investigation, Lupar was helping Carlomagno Deloy, the 43-year-old driver of the cement mixer truck, maneuver the vehicle so the latter could park it properly.

Deloy was delivering cement for the bridge being constructed in the area.

Lupar reportedly told Deloy to back up some more, when one of the truck’s wheels fell by the side of the road. The truck leaned to its side directly on top of Lupar.

Deloy immediately fled the scene to escape the wrath of the victim’s family.

Neneria said Deloy will be charged with reckless imprudence resulting to homicide. (BBT)
