POLICE arrested a 52-year-old man Friday dawn for the illegal manufacture of firearms and gun parts in Danao City, Cebu.

Danao police arrested Roselito Almagro Gonzales, 52, around 1:35 a.m. in Barangay Langlang, July 6.

Superintendent Jaime Quiocho Jr., the city police chief, said several were taken from the suspect, including a .38 revolver, a three magazines of .9mm, four magazines of a .45 pistol, three rasps, a saw, vice grip, on adjustable clamp, three barrels of .45 pistol, upper receiver of .45 pistol, five plastic handles and two pieces plastic rifle butts.

Quicho said Gonzales was arrested after a resident in Langlang informed the police station about his illegal activity.

Gonzales will be charged for violating Republic Act 10591, which prohibits possession and manufacturing of unlicensed firearms. (KAL/SunStar Cebu)
