Man nabbed for threatening to kill wife in Carcar

A 22-YEAR-OLD man was arrested for allegedly threatening to kill his wife with an improvised gun (pugakhang) in Carcar City, southern Cebu on Friday noon, July 1, 2022.

The Carcar police, together with Police Staff Sergeant Camia Codo from the city's Women and Children Protection Desk, arrested the suspect identified as Anmar Sasuman Encabo in his house in Sitio Saay, Barangay Can-asujan, Carcar based on a complaint from a barangay worker.

The Carcar Police Station reportedly received a call from the barangay worker that Anmar and his wife, Dayan, 22, were having a quarrel at the basement of their house, with the former trying to kill the latter with a pugakhang earlier at 11 a.m.

The suspect did not show any resistance when the police asked him to surrender.

The police recovered the suspect's pugakhang with three live ammunition.
