Margot Osmeña to focus on improving city operations

BANDO Osmeña Pundok Kauswagan (BOPK) mayoral candidate Margot Osmeña said she will focus on "housekeeping" or improving the operations in Cebu City Hall if she wins in the May 2022 local elections.

Margot said her first step would be "good housekeeping," something she considers necessary for her to be able to start anything and let the rest of her priorities fall into place, if she is elected to be the next city mayor.

"I offer myself. This is really the right time. It was a consensus in the BOPK family," she said.

Among her priorities would be health programs and other services which she said are not being prioritized, like the Cebu City Hospitalization Assistance and Medicines Program that she described as "crippled."

The BOPK slate was in full force on Thursday morning, October 7, 2021, except for Mary Ann de los Santos, as the party's remaining aspirants filed their certificates of candidacy (COCs) in the Commission on Elections Cebu City office.

On October 5, five electoral candidates under the BOPK banner filed their COCs.

They are Congress aspirant for Cebu City North District Rachel "Cutie" del Mar, Councilor Lea Japson (North District), vice mayoral aspirant Councilor Franklyn Ong, Councilor Raul Alcoseba (South District), and Councilor Joy Young (North District).
