THE Metropolitan Cebu Water District (MCWD) board of directors appointed two new assistant general managers (AGM) to handle the water district’s technical services and customer services groups.

Lawyer Jorge Luna Gabriente, who rose from the ranks, was appointed as MCWD’s new AGM for the Technical Services Group (TSG).

The TSG comprises the Engineering, Construction and Project Management departments—in charge of the planning, design, implementation and monitoring of MCWD’s in-house and bidded out infrastructure projects.

Gabriente, who is also an engineer, finished his Bachelor of Laws and Engineering degree at the University of San Jose-Recoletos. He joined MCWD in 1988 as a meter fieldman.

Meanwhile, Edgar Hubilla Donoso, who was previously with MCWD before his brief stint with the private sector, was appointed as AGM for Finance or the Customer Services Group (CSG).

CSG is composed of the Service Connection Installation, Billing, Customer Services, Accounting and Financial Services departments.

Donoso is a certified public accountant and a law graduate. (S)
