No new Covid-19 case in Central Visayas on Maundy Thursday

THE Department of Health-Central Visayas logged no new case of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) in the region on Thursday, April 9, 2020.

The DOH-Central Visayas, with the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center sub-national laboratory, released 67 test results Thursday and all tested negative for the virus.

This means that the total number of Covid-19 cases in the region remains at 36.

The DOH-Central Visayas also recorded no new deaths and no new laboratory negative cases in the region. The total number of deaths remains at eight ,while the number of laboratory negative cases remains at 19.

The latest patient (Patient 36), whose case was recorded on Tuesday, April 7, is a 60-year-old male from Cebu City.

Cebu City has the highest number of Covid-19 cases at 23 (with 12 laboratory negative cases and five mortality), followed by Negros Oriental with four cases (two laboratory negative and two mortality), Lapu Lapu City with three (including one laboratory negative), Cebu Province also with three (one laboratory and one death), Mandaue City with two cases (both are now laboratory negative), and Bohol with one discharged case.
