A 37-YEAR-old nurse suspected of selling illegal drugs and her live-in partner were arrested during a buybust in Barangay Poblacion, Sibonga town on Aug. 27. 2019.

Anti-illegal drug operatives of the Sibonga Police Station arrested Maria Theresa Simpoo Dillon, 37, a registered nurse living in Barangay Sabang, Sibonga, and her live-in partner Alfonso Guaves Jr, 41, a resident of Barangay Poblacion.

Police Major Alfredo Kuhay, Sibonga police chief, said Guaves was their initial target during the buybust but his live-in partner, Dillon, was arrested after she was caught conducting the illegal transaction.

Guaves is part of Sibonga’s drug watchlist while Dillon was previously deported from the country where she worked after she was reportedly found using illegal drugs.

Kuhay refused to say in what country Dillon previously worked.

The police recovered from the two suspects four packs of suspected shabu worth P1,360 and drug paraphernalia.

Kuhay said Dillon was also allegedly involved in selling illegal drugs outside the country.

It only took a week for the police to conduct a surveillance on the two suspects before they held the operation. (from AYB of Superbalita Cebu/JKV)
