One Cebu warned: Use up all Covid-19 vaccines or risk losing allocation

THE Visayas Vaccination Operations Center (VVOC) told One Cebu on Thursday, September 23, to use up all the Covid-19 vaccines available, or else its allocation will be diverted to other places.

One Cebu is composed of Cebu Province and the highly urbanized cities Cebu, Lapu-Lapu and Mandaue.

"We do not have a lack of vaccines right now. We have an oversupply of vaccines. As a matter of fact, we have them all here," said Dr. Mary Jean Loreche, chief pathologist and spokesperson of VVOC, in a talk Thursday during the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry General Membership Meeting and Induction of New Members online forum.

She said based on the meeting she attended Thursday morning, September 23, “if we are unable to use the vaccines that are given to us, they will not be sending allocations to us until we use it up and they will divert what is allocated for One Cebu.”

“I hope it doesn't happen. It is time for us to promote na no branding dapat tayo,” she added. (JOB)
