A MAN was arrested after an estimated P1.3 million worth of shabu was seized from his possession in a buy-bust operation conducted by the Opao Police Station in Sitio Superior, Barangay Looc, Mandaue City at 9:35 p.m. Thursday, March 19, 2020.

The victim was identified as Junie Lopez Bongo, 25, a resident of Barangay Subangdaku, Mandaue City.

The buy-bust operation was headed by Police Major Aldrin Villacampa, chief of Opao Police Station.

According to Villacampa, the suspect is part of their watchlist since 2017 and the suspect always manages to escape during operations.

"Idlas kaayo ni siya unya karon ra ni namo nadakpan (the suspect is very quick and it is only now that we were able to arrest him)," Villacampa said.

Over 200 grams or an estimated P1,260,000 worth of suspected shabu was seized from the suspect.

Bongo will face charges for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (KFD)
