CEBU Archbishop Jose Palma plans to hold a mass in places that were severely affected by super typhoon Odette on Dec. 16, 2021.

Palma said he will hold the mass for nine days before the commemoration of the birth of Jesus Christ on Dec. 25.

First on his list will be the southern towns of Sibonga and Argao followed by the southwestern town of Badian, where Father Eliseo Fernandez died at the height of the strongest storm to hit Cebu last year.

Palma will hold mass in Barangays Talamban and Guadalupe in Cebu City and Barangay Casuntingan in Mandaue City, as well as at the Cebu Catholic Television Network,

Metropolitan Cathedral and the Carbon Public Market, all in Cebu City.

“I plan to visit those places that were worst hit by the typhoon, including the parish where a priest died,” Palma said in Cebuano. (BBT / PJB)
