Sunnexdesk

THE opening of Peryahan Games such as Peryahan Hulog Holen, Peryahan Throw Coins, and Peryahan Gulong ng Swertes was scheduled on October 29, following the decision of the Court of Appeals and the Arbitration Proceedings reached by Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) and Globaltech.

The status quo order on the operation of the Peryahan Games will be implemented. The following terms and conditions stated in the agreement crucial to the implementation include Globaltech’s insurance on payment of its obligation without prejudice to the final award of the arbitration (P39,506,890.020 including penalties and charges or a total of P506,193,974.26), posting of bond as security of its obligations, withdrawal of cases filed against PCSO officers.

Globaltech, the systems provider for the Peryahan games, successfully installed its Remote Access Management Terminal (RAMT) at the PCSO Data Centers on October 7, 2019.

Eleven of the original 15 Peryahan Draw Centers were found to be compliant and are ready for operations after having passed the PCSO’s initial technical evaluation.

Following the reinstallation of connections to the PCSO Data centers by Globaltech and the technical inspection and evaluation of hand held machines by PCSO, Peryahan games will be played at the following areas with no Small Town Lottery (STL) operations: Cebu City, NCR-Quezon City or Central District, Province of Rizal, Province of Pangasinan, Province of Oriental Mindoro, Province of Bohol, Province of Palawan, Puerto Princesa, Zamboanga City and Province of Zamboanga del Sur. PCSO shall send its representatives to the above mentioned draw centers

The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office is confident that all issues regarding overlapping of operations will be resolved. A meeting scheduled on October 30, 2019 with the nine STL AACs operating in the four Peryahan Games areas will address these issues to harmonize respective operations. (PR)
