Priest loses P55,000 to thieves

A PRIEST lost P55,000 worth of gadgets and cash to two unidentified thieves while he was doing his laundry on Wednesday afternoon, September 19, in Barangay East Poblacion, Naga City, Cebu.

Police identified the victim as Fr. Venedict Into, school administrator of Academia De San Pedro Calungsod.

The culprits were captured by the school's closed circuit television (CCTV) camera.

Investigation showed Into was washing his clothes and left the key on the doorknob of his bedroom.

When Into went back to his room, he discovered the burglary. The culprits stole three cellphones worth P10,000; a laptop worth P15,000; and P30,000 cash.

Into reported the incident to the police station at 7 p.m. Wednesday. (KAL)
