Six barangays get P40M worth of projects

THE Cebu City Council authorized Mayor Tomas Osmeña to sign the contracts for six infrastructure projects worth at least P40 million, which will be implemented in some barangays.

These projects include the construction of a cement pavement with drainage system and continuation of a road concreting project in Sitio Rotunda and Upper Tayong in Barangay Banilad.

The project is worth P6.4 million. In Barangay Lahug, a concrete pavement from Salinas Drive to Sanson Road worth P8.9 million will also be constructed.

Councilor Jerry Guardo sponsored the six resolutions that authorized Osmeña to enter into a contract with the project contractors.

The Council also authorized Osmeña to sign the contract for the P12.8-million concrete pavement with drainage system along Kamagong St. in Barangay Lahug.

A concrete pavement worth P5.6 million will also be constructed in Barangay Kamputhaw.

Another contract is for the drainage system in Sitio Maharlika to V. Urgello St. in Barangay Sambag II and Sitio Amor in Sambag I worth P4.4 million.

The concreting of a parking lot in Warwick Barracks along Carbon Public Market in Barangay Ermita is also included. (RVC)
