THE building of the police community precinct (PCR) in Barangay Tangke was formally turned over to the Talisay City Police Station (TCPS) on Thursday, September 15, 2022.

Present during the ceremony were Mayor Gerald Anthony Gullar Jr., his wife Representative Rhea (1st district), the city’s police chief Lieutenant Colonel Randy Caballes, Vice Mayor Richard Francis Aznar, members of the City Council and Tangke barangay officials.

Caballes told Superbalita Cebu that he was grateful to the mayor and the congresswoman for their support of the project.

He said the PCR in Tangke, which will serve as the TCPS’ third substation, will focus on criminality along coastal areas in the northern part of the city.

He said they want to keep an eye on the illegal drugs situation in the barangay, which used to be rampant, adding that they don’t want the drug pushers and the drug addicts to return.

During the activity, Talisay City police also received two motorcycles that they can use to conduct patrols. (GPL, PJB)
