Sunnexdesk

THE western town of Tuburan, Cebu will be celebrating its annual fiesta on June 12, 2023.

To secure the festivities, Lieutenant Colonel Bryan Salvacion, chief of the Tuburan Police Station, will deploy police on the streets.

He said the town didn’t celebrate its fiesta for two years because of the coronavirus pandemic.

He said several activities have been lined up in the lead-up to the big day, and he expects a lot of people to show up.

Salvacion said he requested additional personnel from the Cebu Police Provincial Office, but he didn’t say how many.

“I already spoke to our partners, especially nongovernment organizations and other groups like force multipliers, so they can help us secure the festivities,” he said in Cebuano. (BBT)
