Sunnexdesk

TWO men died in separate shooting incidents in Cebu City on Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2020.

The fatalities were identified as Arnold Albano, 34, and Arniel Salandon, 31.

Albano, a motorcycle-for-hire driver, was attaching posters of the new leader of his motorcycle-for-hire group in Sitio Kalubihan, Barangay Basak San Nicolas.

A few minutes later, an unidentified gunman approached Albano and shot him in the head and other parts of his body.

P/MSgt. Nicolo Gonzales, investigator of San Nicolas Police Station, said the gunman was possibly mad at the victim. In the past days, Albano reportedly reprimanded motorcycle-for-hire drivers who picked up passengers along the route not considered as theirs.

An hour later, Salandron was shot dead in Sitio All Season, Barangay Cogon Pardo. The victim succumbed to gunshot wounds in different parts of his body.

The incident was still under investigation and the police would still have to identify the perpetrators behind the murder. (BBT, Mae Fhel Gom-os, USJ-R Journalism Intern)
