I declared Mayor Edgardo Labella and City Councilor Gabuya as hopeless at the time for placing more emphasis on Duterte’s wretched “build build build” program than in helping the poor among us.

Your recent articles about the city clearing out vagrants and homeless folk from our streets neglect to show that the local government’s efforts are a lot of hot air. And by the way, why is “hugaw” always translated as ugly when it means dirty?
