2K1 bests 2K in Kuz Control Cup

2K1 got the best of 2K, 84-67, in the Kuz Control Cup at the Ateneo de Cebu basketball courts along General Maxilom Avenue last Tuesday, January 14, 2020.

Jason Arquisola led 2K1 with 18 points and eight rebounds to help the team get its second win in as many outings. Arminjo Arano added 15 markers and seven boards while Michael Osmena also did damage on 2K’s defense with his 11 points off of three triples.

2K dropped to an even 1-1 in spite getting solid numbers from Dave Ting who had 23 points highlighted by seven makes from beyond the arc, and Joseph Lo who scored 14 points and hauled down 15 boards.

In the other game, Bullies evened up its record at 1-1 after it beat Buckets, 63-58. Regie Antiporda and Kenneth Abella had 18 points each, with the former pulling down 10 rebounds and adding three steals across his name. Aaron Suson also played a key role in the Bullies’ win with his 15 points, eight boards and three blocks.

Buckets, which also fell to 1-1, got 17 points from Melvin Bacalla.
