6 ex-Cesafi stars joining 2019 PBA draft

SIX former standouts of the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (CESAFI) led by former two-time Most Valuable Player winner Rey Anthony Suerte have officially applied for the 2019 Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Gatorade Draft which would be held on December 8 at the Robinsons Place Manila.

This is according to the list of 71 hopefuls that was released by the league on Monday afternoon, December 2, 2019.

Aside from Suerte who made an incredible impact in the UAAP, earning for himself a spot on the prestigious Mythical Five team, also aspiring to make it to the pros is left-handed big man William McAloney who is currently leading the charge of the Cebu-Casino Ethyl Alcohol in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League.

The list also includes former SHS-Ateneo de Cebu guard Adven Jess Diputado, former Southwestern University-Phinma big man Cris Dumapig, ex- University of San Jose-Recoletos standout guard James Regalado and former Cebu Institute of Technology-University forward Kevin Barkley Ebona.

PBA coaches will be getting a taste of just what these Cesafi products can do during the Draft Combine on Wednesday, December 4 at the Hoops Center in Mandaluyong. (SunStar Cebu)
