Apolinario to face Kinaadman in ‘Sanman Bubble VII’

Edri Aznar

WORLD-RATED flyweight Dave Apolinario will face Mike Kinaadman in an activity fight in the main event of “Sanman Bubble VII” on Jan. 17, 2022 at the Sanman Gym in Gen. Santos City.

Apolinario, a 22-year-old unbeaten from Sarangani, is being groomed by his handlers Sanman Promotions as a future star in the sport. He’s the World Boxing Association (WBA) Asia South flyweight champion and is currently ranked No. 7 by the WBA and No. 13 by the International Boxing Federation (IBF).

Apolinario last fought on July 16, 2021 in Talisay City, Cebu, wherein he stopped Charlie Malupangue in the fourth round to win the vacant WBA Asia South belt.

Kinaadman should be a good activity fight for Apolinario. He has fought some of the best in the lower weight divisions like IBF minimumweight champion Rene Mark Cuarto and two-time world champion Vic Saludar.

Kinaadman lost his last three fights against veteran Jerry Tomongdan, Saludar and world-ranked Clyde Azarcon.

Apolinario is 15-0 with 10 knockouts, while Kinaadman is 7-14-2 with five knockouts.

Also seeing action in the card are former world title challenger Vince Paras (15-2, 13 KOs), Ben Mananquil (17-2-3, 4 KOs) and Marlon Tapales’ younger sibling Gabriel Tapales, who’ll be making his pro debut.
