Sunnexdesk

REY CAITOM is a step closer to his dream of a world title fight after winning the World Boxing Council (WBC) ABC Continetal minimumweight belt with a second-round knockout of Indonesian patsy Frans Damur Palue in “Renegades of Fight” at the Singapore Foo Chow Association on Sept. 28, 2019. It was competitive at the onset with both fighters having their moments. However, the 33-year-old Caitom landed a sick overhand right to the head of Palue that dropped him to the ground, wincing in pain.

The referee saw that Palue couldn’t continue and scored it a knockout for Caitom in the 2:11 mark of the second round. Caitom remained unbeaten with 9-0 along with four knockouts, while the 36-year-old Palue fell to 15-23-3 with 10 knockouts. (EKA)
