Chery Tiggo stops Creamline’s 25-game winning streak

The Chery Tiggo Crossovers emphatically stopped the Creamline Cool Smashers’ 25-game winning streak with a 25-18, 25-23, 23-25, 25-20 victory in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference at the PCV Socio-Civic and Cultural Center on Friday night.

The incredible victory gave Chery Tiggo a 4-2 win-loss record while dropping Creamline to 5-1. Creamline phenomenal winning streak dates back to August 11, 2019.

Jaja Santiago and her elder sister, Dindin Manabat, connived to overpower Creamline’s defense with the former scoring 20 points off of 15 attacks, three aces and two blocks and the latter putting in 15 points. Maika Ortiz was also instrumental in the victory as she scored 13 points highlighted by five blocks. Jasmine Nabor was also a key cog in the win with 31 excellent sets while Shaya Adorador produced 12 markers including four aces.

Alyssa Valdez led the Cool Smashers with 16 points while Tots Carlos contributed 12. (JNP)
