VETERAN golfers Marko Sarmiento and Mark Anthony Dy came were the biggest winners in the 17th Copa de Golf Tournament at the Cebu Country Club on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2019.

The Copa de Golf Tournament was part of the 13th Copa de Casino sporting event, which featured sports such as golf, badminton, bowling, tennis and billiards.

Sarmiento was awarded with the lowest gross Casino Golfer of the Year, while Chito Misa nabbed the lowest net plum.

Dy topped the men’s class, while Jufil Sato and Dominic Gotiong settled for second and third places, respectively.

Katsuhisa Ishikawa snagged the Class B top honors over Jiji Gullas and Thomas Castillo; Robin Craze topped the Class C with Jon Louis Yu and Stephan Chian as runners-up; Arlene Villordon won the women’s division over Tess Magazzeni and Mayette Alba; while Julius Padilla ruled the open division over Ed Jones and Joseph Zacarias.

In billiards, the team of Bryan Bugtas, Dave Dira, Ishida Takeshi, Kiddy Lim Chao, Kijimi Ryuichi, Loven Lim Chao, Noli Entero, Richi Borneo and Tetsuya Murase won the team event, while Dira and Shigeki Suzuki were crowned the doubles champion.

In badmiton, Cathy Ong, Joel Tiu, Jordan Tanco, Mark Yang, Darryl Cabilao, Trisha Uy, Tommy Yu and Janel Dihiansan won the team title, while Ong and Tiu also snagged the championship in the doubles division. (RSC)
