Gilas big man Kevin Quiambao showed off his prodigious skills in the fourth canto to help the EcoOil-La Salle turn away the Wangs Basketball-Letran, 94-87, in the 2022 PBA D-League Aspirants' Cup on Tuesday at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.

The incoming rookie, who is coming off an excellent showing for the national team duty in the 2022 FIBA Asia Cup, scored 11 of his 15 points in the fourth quarter, including two three-pointers, to help La Salle come away with the win.

He flirted with a triple-double, padding his stat line with 10 rebounds and seven assists.

Quiambao's standout efforts buoyed the Green Archers as they rallied from a 10-point first half deficit, and his freebies in the last 1:38 sealed the game at 88-81.

"We know what Kevin can bring to the table. He will make things happen for us and when he needed to score the basket, he made big shots," said coach Derick Pumaren as his squad improved to 3-2.

JC Macalalag had 18 points and five rebounds to topscore for EcoOil-La Salle, while also drawing solid games from Penny Estacio, who had 14 points from three treys, and Michael Phillips, who nabbed a double-double with his 13 points, 11 boards, and five steals.

On the other side, Wangs-Letran dropped its first game in four matches with Pao Javillonar showing the way with 19 points and six rebounds.

In the first game, Juan Gomez de Liano exploded for 31 points as Marinerong Pilipino crushed the still-winless AMA Online by 38 points, 87-49, to book its seat in the playoffs.

The University of the Philippines guard made three treys as he anchored the Skippers' second straight win with his all-around game of 16 rebounds, five assists, two blocks, and one steal to rise to a 4-1 card.
