IBF 3x3 Cup dangles Bali trip to champion

TWENTY-FOUR local and visiting teams will vie for the crown in the International Basketball Foundation (IBF) Youth Leaders Cup 3x3 Basketball Tournament on Sunday, July 28, 2019 at the Sisters of Mary School (SMS-Girlstown) in Talisay City, Cebu.

The Cebu-based teams are expected to have their hands full against the competitive squads from Davao City, Tacloban, Tagbilaran City, Bohol and Guimaras.

Davao City will be represented by the Sacred Heart Ateneo Davao.

The tournament is for Under-18 players born in the year 2001 or later. Every team is composed of two boys and two girls.

The champion will get a ticket to Bali, Indonesia for the IBF Youth Leaders Basketball Cup and Leadership Workshop on Sept. 27 to 28. The IBF is a foundation of the FIBA, the international basketball federation.

Organizer Rico Navarro said the tournament also aims to help gain more points for the country in the FIBA 3x3 ranking. RSC
