Jonas N. Panerio

THE NLEX Road Warriors finally barged into the win column with a 102-88 victory over the reeling NorthPort Batang Pier in the PBA Philippine Cup on Wednesday night, October 21, 2020, at the Angeles University Foundation Sports Arena and Cultural Center.

Kiefer Ravena led the way for NLEX as he had 25 points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals. Cebuano big man JR Quiñahan was also a solid presence as he tallied 17 points while Kevin Alas flirted with a rare triple-double, putting up 16 points, 10 boards and six dimes.

The win, which gave NLEX a 1-3 (win-loss) card, lifted the Road Warriors up from the bottom of the standings while NorthPort now occupies that territory at 0-4.

Kevin Ferrer led the Batang Pier with 18 points while Sean Manganti chipped in 16. Christian Standhardinger had an off night as he scored just seven points. Sean Anthony played just six minutes and sat out the rest of the game because of an injured hamstring.
