BARANGAY Pooc and Tabunok claimed their third straight wins after they trounced their respective opponents in the Juniors division of the Talisay Mayor’s Cup basketball tournament on Wednesday, September 11, 2019, at the Talisay City Sports Complex.

Tabunok creamed Camp 4, 92-47, with Kevin Cabanero leading the way with 17 points, six rebounds and five assists. Also helping him out were Francis Acedo and Bruce Dale Tan, who had 14 markers each to keep Camp 4 winless in three games.

Pooc, meanwhile, routed Manipis, 99-58. Hyacinth Balorio filled the stat sheet up with 17 points, 10 rebounds and four assists, even as Anthony Alvarez scored 14 and Benz Ybanez and Shaundyl Alipio had 12 markers apiece.

Tabunok and Pooc each have unblemished 3-0 (win-loss) records.

Over in the Seniors division, Pooc and Mohon also remained undefeated with their respective conquests of their opponents.

Mohon destroyed Candulawan, 113-66, as Giovanni Tabay exploded for 34 points spiked with six three-point shots. He also had seven assists.

Pooc nipped Jaclupan, 75-67, led by Zeus Aguilar who had 20 points and four assists. Sonny Marata was very productive as well as he tallied 14 points, 11 rebounds, five steals and three blocked shots.

Pooc and Mohon boast of identical 2-0 cards.
