PULPOGAN wrapped up the top seed in the SK Juniors Category A as it bested Cabangahan, 75-72, in the Consolacion 10th Mayor Alegado’s Cup Basketball Tournament on Sept. 11, at the Consolacion Sports Complex.

Pulpogan, the runners-up from last season, leaned on the torrid scoring of John Dalumpines, Raymund Osabel and Picer Candido, all of whom played for the Consolacion Sarok Weavers squad that competed in the Governor’s Cup.

Dalumpines led the way with 25 points, while Osabel and Candido had 12 and 11 points, respectively.

In other games, Poblacion Occidental defeated Tugbongan, 61-52, to advance to the next round in the Midgets Category A division.

Josh Ronquillo and Chino Agbay were the winning side’s top performers with 19 and 17 points, respectively.

In Category B, Sacsac blew away Tilhaong, 63-35, with the Alilins, Joshua, Clyde and Arjay combining for 34 markers.

In the SK Juniors class, Tilhaong exacted revenge, ousting Sacsac, 75-63, behind Christian Molina’s 15 points. (JNP)
