Seaside skaters top Skate PHL

A TOTAL OF 133 skaters from all over the country competed in the Skate Philippines 2019 Summer Championships at SM Seaside last May 20 and 21, 2019.

The participants, who come from the skating rinks of SM Megamall, Southmall, Seaside City Cebu and Mall of Asia, competed in the Interpretative, Rythmic Ribbon, Solo Dance, Grand Master Neo, Family Spotlight and Character Spotlight divisions.

SM Seaside’s Isabelle Fernan was the biggest star of the local team as she won five gold medals in Stroking Delta, Technical Event, Surprise Event, Solo Cumpolsions and Character Spotlight.

SM Seaside’s Armielle Brylle Cabrera, David Chace Gothong, Janine Therese Yap, Amara Bryce Cabrera and Dominic Van Chua won special awards for getting the highest points, while Hailey Tiosejo of Megamall got the Most Aritisc Award.

Seaside’s Maurielle Paredes also won the Most Promising Award, while Maria Lissa Abarace of Mall of Asia was named the Ice Princess. Seaside’s Matt Limson won the Ice Prince.

Meanwhile, Skate Philippines is inviting interested kids to join its various program all over the country if they want to learn figure skating. (PR)
