UNIVERSITY of San Carlos (USC), University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) and Southwestern University (SWU)-Phinma were victorious in yesterday’s Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (Cesafi) volleyball tournament at the USC Main Gym.

All three schools were spotless with wins in both the boys’ and girls’ divisions.

Defending boys’ division titleholder USC outclassed Cebu Institute of Technology-University (CIT-U) in two straight sets, 25-8, 25-13. USJ-R beat Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC), 25-12, 25-19. SWU-Phinma, on the other hand, crushed Cebu Doctors’ University (CDU), 25-11, 25-19.

University of Cebu (UC) also got a win in the boys’ division with a two-set sweep of Don Bosco Technology Center (DBTC), 25-8, 25-13.

In the girls’ division, USC destroyed Cebu Eastern College (CEC), 25-6, 25-10. USJ-R beat SHS-AdC in two competitive sets, 26-24, 25-16. SWU-Phinma outclassed CDU, 25-11, 25-8. (EKA)
