Thirdy Ravena and the rest of the SanEn NeoPhoenix got their revenge on Kiefer Ravena and the Shiga Lakestars as they came back from 18 points down to come away with a 101-96 win in overtime in the 2021-22 B.League on Sunday at the Ukaruchan Arena.

Still seething after suffering an 83-93 loss on Saturday in a game wherein they led by 22 points, the NeoPhoenix showed that they too had it in them as they came back from an 18 point deficit to force overtime, before dominating the extra five-minute session to nab the victory.

Thirdy Ravena was pivotal for SanEn as he sank a three-pointer from the corner to give them a 94-87 lead with just 2:17 left in the match. The younger Ravena finished with 21 points, seven boards and five assists as the NeoPhoenix evened their win-loss record up at 1-1.

Elias Harris anchored SanEn inside as he piled up 18 points, 10rebounds, three steals, two assists, and two blocks, while Robert Carter produced 17 points to go with three rebounds and three dimes.

Afterwards, Ravena relished the team’s resiliency in the face of the large deficit and the hostile crowd.

"It was a team effort, and that's why this win was very good and very fruitful" said Ravena after the game. (JNP)
