Toledo team shines in inter-school tilt

THE Toledo Taekwondo Team put on an impressive performance in the National Inter-School Taekwondo Championships on Nov. 9 and 10 at the Ayala Malls Manila Bay.

The Toledo squad bagged three gold medals, three silvers and five bronzes.

Gabrielli Athena Tricio of Leaton School shone the most with a two-gold medal haul, competing in the girls’ Individual Brown-belt Poomsae event and in Kyorugi.

Karl Awi, also from Leaton School, was the other gold medalist after winning the Boys Individual Brown-belt Poomsae event.

Audrey Gayle Arnaiz of Leaton School won a silver in Individual Poomsae, while Amber Jade Pacia of Toldeo City Science High School and Kym Therese Guilot of Consolatrix College of Toledo won a silver medal each in the Kyorugi event.

Meanwhile, Jules Laurence Gomez and Shannel Larita of CCTC; Arnaiz of Leatom School and Jhermell Daboco of St. Bernard School bagged a bronze medal each in Kyorugi. EKA
