THE University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) had a bountiful Sunday after both of its teams came out victorious in yesterday’s volleyball tournament of the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (Cesafi) at the University of San Carlos (USC) Main Gym.

USJ-R swept University of Cebu (UC), 25-19, 25-16, in the Girls category and had a repeat against the team, 25-13, 25-23, in the Boys division.

In the Girls division, the University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF) totally outclassed Cebu Eastern College (CEC), 25-3 and 25-5, while USC beat Cebu Doctors’ University (CDU), 25-19, 25-16.

In the Boys category, the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) defeated Don Bosco Technology Center (DBTC), 25-19 and 25-18. Cebu Institute of Technology-University (CIT-U) won against CDU, 25-19 and 25-19.

Meanwhile, UC defeated CDU in three close sets in the Women’s division, 30-28, 25-19, 25-23. (EKA)
