Waminal defends GBO bantam title

FORMER amateur standout Jess Rhey Waminal is set to defend his Global Boxing Organization (GBO) super bantamweight belt against Sunil Siwach on Nov. 23, 2019 in Tagum City.

Waminal looks to bounce back after losing a close split decision to Chinese Zhong Liu on Aug. 9, 2019 in China.

Waminal won the GBO belt with a third round technical knockout over Renan Portes on March 3, 2019.

Siwach is a 29-year-old prospect from Bhiwani, India. He turned pro late, at 26 years old in 2016.

He is coming off a third round stoppage over Indian fighter Honey.

Waminal, a former ALA Boy, is 13-3-1 with eight knockouts, while Siwach is 5-0-1. (EKA)
