Investors looking at agriculture, manufacturing

POTENTIAL investors coming to Davao City have expressed interest to invest into agriculture and manufacturing in the city.

Davao City Investment Promotion Center (DCIPC) officer-in-charge Lemuel Ortonio said during the weekly Wednesday's at Habi at Kape at the Abreeza Mall Wednesday, February 6 that in the last three years they saw a trend where many investors are inquiring investment opportunities in the agriculture and manufacturing industry.

Ortonio added investors were inquiring about the type of agribusiness they can explore in Davao City since some of them are not familiar in the city.

“Daghan niduol nga local meaning kanang within the Philippines nga mga investors who are interested also. In terms of the foreign nga mga potential investors these are mostly Chinese and Japanese,” Ortonio added.

He said that they also received inquiries from potential Korean investors.

However, these are still investment inquiries and have yet to be materialized.
