Glowing at 24

Macky Lim

IN MY three years as SunStar Davao’s photojournalist, I’ve experienced numerous challenges and hardships along the way, but one thing that made me survive is the feeling of being in a family that supports you along the way, in a SunStar family.

For 24 years circulating top of the line news around the city, SunStar Davao continues to take care of its readers by being in the driver seat of providing worthy content to the community. But beyond the service to its readers, SunStar Davao has also created a family within a company that extends outside the desks and walls of the building by recognizing the efforts of its employees.

Yesterday, a simple gathering was held at SunStar Davao’s office in Jacinto Street, Davao City that kicked-off with a mass and the awarding of the model employee for second quarter of the year bagged by Ms. Cherilyn Limas from the Marketing Department.

The short program was then followed by a lunch with SunStar Davao president Gina Atienza together with general manager Tessie Alcoriza and HR supervisor Donna Cuyos.

As the company prepares its driving force for another year of hard work, it continues to innovate in the fast-growing media industry for the continued satisfaction of the readers and viewers that goes beyond the borders of Davao City.
