Brgy. Malagos classified as high risk, 12 other barangays moderate risk for Covid-19

BARANGAY Malagos in Davao City is classified as high risk for Covid-19 for the period of September 25 to October 1, based on the latest Covid-19 Heightened Risk Assessment Map.

The map, released by the city government, shows that Brgy. Malagos has a high average daily attack rate (Adar) of 20.73 wherein 22 confirmed positive cases were recorded in the past two weeks.

In total, Malagos has had 181 cumulative cases, out of the projected population of 7,582 residents, since the pandemic started.

Twelve barangays are also identified as moderate risk during the same period, namely barangays 4-A, 7-A, 9-A, 13-B, 19-B, 20-B, 28-C, A. Angliongto, Sr., Baganihan, Matina Crossing, Mulig, and V. Hizon, Sr.

Of these, Barangay 4-A has the highest Adar of 14.61 wherein four cases, out of a population of 1,956, were confirmed in the past two weeks.

It is followed by Barangay 13-B with an Adar of 14.4, Barangay 20-B with an Adar of 13.42, Barangay 9-A with 12.94, Barangay 28-C with 10.83, and Barangay 7-A with 10.8 Adar.

The rest of the barangays not mentioned are considered low risk of the coronavirus.

At the same time, Davao City also remains at low risk of Covid-19 an Adar of 2.77. In the past two weeks, 736 cases were confirmed positive out of the projected population of 1,897,861 in the entire city.

Since the pandemic started, the city has logged 77,485 confirmed positive cases.
