ComVal cops nab two rape suspects

TWO brothers tagged as the most wanted for rape in Montevista, Compostela Valley were nabbed in Purok 6, Barangay New Visayas during a police operation on October 3.

Based on the police report, personnel of Montevista Municipal Police Station together with the Provincial Intelligence Branch of Compostela Valley Police Provincial Office conducted the Manhunt Charlie Operation in Montevista, Compostela Valley at about 11 a.m. on Thursday.

The operation led to the apprehension of Rodelo Operio, alias Kadoy, 30, married, laborer and a resident of Purok Talaytay, Malungon Dako, Sarangani Province; and his brother, Rogelio Operio, 37, farmer and a resident of Purok 12, Bunawan Broke, Agusan del Sur.

Both of them were arrested for rape. The warrant was issued by Judge Hilarion Clapis, Executive Judge of Regional Trial Court, 11th Judicial Region Branch 3, Nabunturan, Compostela Valley.

Police Regional Office (PRO 11) Regional Director Marcelo Morales said Rodelo is considered in Montevista as Top 8 Most Wanted while Rogelio is Top 5 most wanted.

PRO 11 said Manhunt Charlie is an effort to locate and arrest all wanted persons who are still in hiding. (Juliet C. Revita)
