Davao City Police receive 12 motorcycles

THE Davao City Police Office (DCPO) received 12 brand new Kawasaki Versys 650 CC Motorcycle from the city government of Davao Monday, February 4.

The vehicles are expected to further boost the local police’s capability in law enforcement operation.

DCPO spokesperson Police Senior Inspector Ma. Teresita Gaspan said Police Senior Superintendent Alexander Tagum, DCPO director, received the vehicles from Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio during the turnover ceremony at the City Hall grounds on Monday.

“In line with this overwhelming support by the City Government of Davao through the initiative of our beloved City Mayor, Sara Duterte, the DCPO under the dynamic leadership of the city director, Police Senior Superintendent Tagum expressed his deepest gratitude for the generous support extended to DCPO particularly the Traffic Group for the donation of the 12 new power motorcycles,” Gaspan said.

She said the newly-acquired motorcycles will be utilized for the traffic management in the city, rapid response to traffic accidents/ incidents and security/safety patrols in all highways and streets.

Likewise, it will give a boost to the intensified security operations on “no drunk driving” and “no helmet” policy and other traffic violations in relation to the campaign against Unsafe Driving which will take effect immediately.
