FOLLOWING the April 3 bombing in Isulan town, Sultan Kudarat, Davao Police Regional Office (PRO-11) Director Marcelo Morales directed all unit commanders to establish and strengthen checkpoints in cities and municipalities across the region to thwart any terrorist attacks.

Morales likewise ordered the policemen in the region to maintain coordination with private security providers and security managers to establish and enhance joint security protocols and to intensify intelligence monitoring and sharing of information with other units.

Morales said the Davao police are saddened by the Isulan attack.

As Isulan is just an adjacent town, Morales assured that they are not letting their guards down and maximum deployment of foot and mobile patrols, particularly in highly populated areas, will be enforced.

He also advised the people to be vigilant and to be a partner of the security forces in keeping the region safe from lawless elements by reporting suspicious individuals and activities, as he underscores the importance of public’s cooperation.

“We encourage you to notify your nearest local police stations, or through PRO-11 Hotline numbers and social media pages on any suspicious people or activities happening in your locality. Let not this heartbreaking event (Isulan bombing) make us helpless and overpowered,” Morales said.
