Gaslamp falls, razes 42 houses

A FIRE sent the sleeping residents of Purok 9, Southbay in Barangay Lapu-Lapu, Agdao, Davao City in quandary at 12:20 a.m. of September 27, 2020, which according to witnesses started in a house where a gaslamp fell.

Since the neighboring houses were also made of light materials, the fire spread easily burning to the ground 42 houses.

Firemen were able to put out the fire after almost an hour of fighting it.

Davao City Fire District is now investigating what really caused the fire and the damages it caused. (JPC)
