Pasko Kumbira 2018 for city workers

AS PART of its wellness program, the city government of Davao will hold Pasko Kumbira 2018 for its employees on December 13 and 14 at Rizal Park.

“Kini siya nga activity part ni siya sa city government wellness program (This is part of the city government's wellness program). Dili lang nato gitan-aw ang ilang (We are not only after their) emotional, physical and financial wellness, but we also give them chance to celebrate with us kasi they are also Dabawenyos,” Human Resource and Management Office (HRMO) supervising administrative officer Isaa Nacilla said Thursday, November 15.

The two-day activity will consist of six activities, namely, Christmas Fun Walk Cheers and Yells, Sayawit, Zumba, City Hall Star Search, Employees’ Christmas Bazaar, and Live Band.

Participants for the Christmas Fun Walk will have to join the early morning walk in a Christmas-inspired attire. The top three winners will receive P10,000, P7,500 and P5,000. Consolation prize is P2,000.

Sayawit, meanwhile, is a song and dance competition where department heads should endorse an official entry form to compete on December 13. It stakes P75,000 for the champion while the next two placers will take home P60,000 and P50,000. A consolation of P5,000 will also be given to losing Sayawit teams.

He added the city will also highlight the City Hall Star Search on December 14 at 3 p.m. where entries must be a solo act or performance in vocals, dance, instrumentation, among others.

The first three winners will claim P20,000, P15,000 and P10,000. Consolation prize is P2,000.

Nacilla said they expect at least 10,000 total participants during the two-day event and that the security was already planned out and coordinated with the authorities to ensure safety of the employees.
