Poll candidates urged to clean up

Karina V.Cañedo

DAVAO City Vice Mayor Bernard Al-ag is asking winners of barangay elections to spearhead the clearing of the election paraphernalia in their communities to prevent such materials from clogging drainage systems.

"I am urging the winners to go to streets and clean our barangays because there are many posters that are making our barangays dirty and since its rainy season it may also clog our drainage systems. I am urging them to clean up and show the people that their service has started," Al-ag said.

Al-ag said he is proud of all candidates because the election has been orderly and generally peaceful.

He also urged winners to reach out to those who lost and start the process of healing.

"There are those who were hurt (after knowing the results), to the winners it is their responsibility to reach out the losers to heal the relationships," Al-ag said.
