HUGPONG ng Pagbabago (HNP), a regional party formed by Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, reiterated that they do not to intend to recruit other members from different national political parties.

HNP maintained that they are a regional political party whose members are from Region 11 only and to date, they are not planning to go on a national level.

“While the Party has supporters outside of Davao Region, we advise them to form their own local parties or join other national parties — the NUP, NP, NPC, or PDP Laban,” the HNP statement read.

They added that do not want to recruit members of Partido Demokratiko Pilipino–Lakas ng Bayan (PDP Laban) or other national political parties who wished to transfer to their local party.

“HNP respects the history, experience, and the wisdom of the PDP Laban Party. HNP finds it truly unfortunate that PDP Laban is embroiled in internal problem and hopes that competing party members resolve their differences,” it added.

HNP also offered a hand to the PDP-Laban should they need their assistance to address the problem. They expressed their willingness to help other parties who supports the President.

“HNP is offering a hand of friendship to all other political parties who support the administration of President Rodrigo Duterte,” it said.
