Robber arrested

THE suspect behind the robbery hold-up incident in MGR Teachers Village, Matina Aplaya, Davao City was arrested by the police Monday evening, May 21.

Based on the spot report, Talomo Police arrested John Carlo Abellana Telleros alias Tanglord, 18, at about 6 p.m. at the corner Pag asa Village Matina Aplaya, Davao City.

The suspect was positively identified by Vina Torente Necosia, 18, a sales lady of Gaisano Mall in Bajada, as the person who robbed her. Necosia’s mobile phone was retrieved from the suspect.

Necosia was on her way home in Matina Aplaya last May 20 when she was held up by a man wielding a kitchen knife.

Taken from her were one unit of Cloud phone worth P2,000 and cash worth P300. Necosia was still able to fight back, grab the knife and stab the robber in the left arm, but he was able to run away.
