VICE presidential candidate and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio vowed that the Bisayas will ensure that an Ilocano leader, referring to her running mate Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr., will have a solid win in Mindanao.

“Ang mga Ilocano at mga Tagalog nangako na mananalo ang Bisaya [Duterte] sa kanilang lugar. Tayong mga Bisaya, mangangako na mananalo ang Ilocano dito sa ating lugar (The Ilocano and Tagalog voters, they promised that Bisaya will win in their areas. We, Bisaya, promise that Ilocano will win there our area)," Duterte-Carpio said during the UniTeam grand rally in Barangay Tres De Mayo, Digos City in Davao del Sur on Wednesday evening, March 30.

It was the third and last stop of the UniTeam grand rally in Davao Region on the same day. Marcos and Duterte-Carpio visited Carmen in Davao del Sur in the morning, and Pantukan, Davao de Oro in the afternoon.

During the event, the mayor reiterated that she and her running mate are pushing for unity in their administration.

The daughter of incumbent President Rodrigo Duterte pledged to continue the infrastructure project of her father, which she said is vital for the country's progress.

She also said that under their tandem's governance, they will also focus on addressing anti-criminality.

According to a report from the Philippine News Agency, the mayor’s Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP), citing crowd estimate from police, said more or less 120,000 UniTeam supporters had attended the grand rally inside and outside the venue in Tres De Mayo, while at least 25,000 attended the grand rally in Carmen while an estimated 35,000 people attended the grand rally in Pantukan.
