Yellow rainfall warning in Davao

A YELLOW rainfall warning was raised over Davao City Friday, January 11.

Based on the Facebook post of Davao City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, the yellow warning level means that community awareness is needed and flooding is possible in low-lying areas and near river channels.

However, in the provinces of Davao Oriental, Compostela Valley, Davao del Norte, an orange warning has been posted. This means flooding is threatening in low-lying areas and near river and channels and landslides in mountainous areas.

Digos and Santa Cruz in Davao del Sur and Malita in Davao Occidental will only experience light to moderate rains.

Meanwhile, in the recent FB post of DRRMO, residents in Sabang in Tamugan, Barangay Callawa, DDF Village in Mandug, Jade Valley in Tigatto, Purok 20-Sangilangan in Barangay Maa, Purok Lopzom at El Rio Vista in Brgy 19, Purok 8 Muslim Area in Maa, Matina Gravahan, Santo Niño-Bankerohan, Purok 9 San Rafael in Maa, Sitio Camella in Brgy 9-A, Brgy 76-A-Bucana and other barangays such as 10-A, 9-A, 8-A, 5-A, 2-A, 1-A, 40-D and 76-A are reminded to monitor the river level for possible flooding.
